How our lawyers review and submit your trademark application

Start online by providing your trademark, the goods and services it will cover, and the owner’s details. After payment, our lawyers manually review the information and contact you if anything needs clarification before preparing and submitting your application to IP Australia.

The service covers application preparation and filing. A comprehensive clearance search and work arising after submission, such as responding to examination objections or oppositions, are outside the standard service. We explain the scope and cost of any recommended additional work before proceeding. See our service terms and review timeframes.

Trademark application costs and what your fee covers

Your application price depends on the number of trademark classes you select. The online form shows the first-class price and updates the total as you add goods and services in additional classes. Selecting more descriptions within the same class does not increase the class count.

Our standard service includes manual review by our legal team, preparation and submission of your Australian trademark application. You can review the total, including GST, before continuing to payment. Read the full fee inclusions and exclusions, or start your application to calculate your total.

How it works

What you need to apply for an Australian trademark

  1. 1

    Your name or logo

Enter the exact words you want to protect, upload your logo, or provide both for a combined mark.

  2. 2

    Goods and services

Search for descriptions that match what your business offers and add the relevant selections to your application.

  3. 3

    Owner and contact details

Provide the legal owner’s name and address, business identifier where applicable, and an email for correspondence.

  4. 4

    Review and payment

Check your information, selected classes and total fee, then pay securely so our lawyers can begin their review.

What happens after you apply?

Once your payment is confirmed, we email you an application reference and send your details to our legal team for review. Monitor your contact email so you can respond to any questions needed to complete the application.

After our lawyers submit the application, IP Australia examines it. Acceptance and registration are separate stages, and payment or filing does not guarantee registration. See IP Australia’s registration process and timeframes.

“Clear information. Simple steps. A better way to get your trademark application ready.”
